Position Overview: The Senior SBA Portfolio Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing various servicing action requests, managing loan modifications, and ensuring compliance with approved credit requirements. Key Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in SBA, USDA, or 504 Portfolio Management or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a similar discipline.
  • In-depth understanding of USDA/SBA loan structuring, underwriting, and documentation processes.
  • Strong familiarity with loan agreements, assumptions, accounting practices, loan structuring, and collateral management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proficient analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and relevant software applications (nCino, Fiserv, CAIVRS, LexisNexis, and PayNet).
  • Able to collaborate effectively within a team and adapt to evolving circumstances.
  • Commitment to comply with all bank policies and applicable regulations.
  • Willingness to complete all necessary training relevant to the position.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit loan modifications and servicing requests for approval, ensuring accuracy in legal documentation.
  • Coordinate the collection and evaluation of financial statements, tax returns, personal financial statements, and other required reports as specified in client agreements.
  • Engage with clients through phone, email, and site visits to address servicing matters and related issues.
  • Conduct site visits and annual reviews for the assigned SBA portfolio.
  • Identify early warning signs of clients at risk and collaborate with them to develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with business development, closing, and underwriting teams to ensure comprehensive and accurate information flow.
  • Issue necessary 1099 forms for the SBA/USDA portfolio.
  • Collaborate with bank senior management to manage SBA/USDA problem loans and other related issues.
  • Assist with special projects as directed by senior management.
Compensation: Compensation will be determined based on geographic location and individual qualifications, including skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for meetings and training sessions.
