About CUMULUS MEDIA
CUMULUS MEDIA operates a cluster of 8 radio stations in the Modesto and Stockton area, reaching hundreds of thousands of listeners daily. Our prominent stations include Country 103.3 KATM, Classic Rock KDJK 103.9, Classic Rock KHKK 104.1, Sports KESP 970, Hot AC KHOP 95.1, Adult Contemporary KJOY 99.3, and Rhythmic CHR KWIN 97.7 and KWNN 98.3. We also offer a range of digital products that extend our reach nationwide.
Role Responsibilities:
- Identify and understand client business needs, objectives, and market trends to create tailored advertising solutions.
- Deliver compelling multi-platform sales presentations and effectively negotiate and close deals.
- Develop a strong understanding of our digital assets and marketing solutions, including streaming, website advertising, and audience extension products.
- Proactively seek new clients through networking, cold calling, and referrals to maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Adhere to corporate procedures for order preparation, billing resolution, and regular reporting on sales activities.
- Stay informed about competitive dynamics and emerging technologies to enhance Cumulus' market positioning.
- Innovate and generate creative marketing ideas.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and CRM software.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience in developing new business relationships in an outside sales capacity.
- Ability to present sales opportunities effectively to clients.
- Solid understanding of lead generation and connecting with potential clients.
- Familiarity with sales metrics to maintain a healthy sales funnel.
- Positive attitude and willingness to step outside comfort zones for professional growth.
- High energy and passion for sales.
- Creative and adaptable.
- Digitally proficient.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in Media/Digital Sales.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
