Position Overview:

This role involves operating and maintaining equipment used in the production of vitamin products.

This position features a four-tier program (I, II, III, and IV) that recognizes the essential elements of a successful Process Technician: Skills, Education, and Experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), company policies, safety regulations, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Always ensure that tasks comply with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Perform assigned tasks safely and in accordance with all company safety protocols.


Operate kitchen equipment to manage the dosing of raw materials and cooking processes as outlined in Master Manufacturing Records (MMRs) to guarantee product specifications are met.

Manage Mogul equipment as specified by MMRs and SOPs to ensure product quality. Operate dry rooms and oilers following established procedures and MMRs. Conduct and document quality inspections as required by our quality systems and MMRs. Make necessary equipment adjustments to regulate temperature, dosing, pH, board weight, etc., according to established protocols. Perform product changeovers as required.

Notify the immediate supervisor of any issues encountered during the cooking process.

Handle material transactions as necessary. Engage in equipment troubleshooting and repairs as needed.

Perform cleaning and light preventive maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. Document information related to quality, downtime, and equipment performance. Maintain a clean, organized work area. Carry out other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED, or one (1) to three (3) months of relevant experience and/or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role.

Ability to address problems involving variables in standardized situations.
Ability to operate hand jacks.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to work scheduled shifts and overtime as required.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.

Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clean room attire; perform moderate physical activity which includes standing and/or walking for extended periods and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds; and work in a light industrial environment with some exposure to non-toxic dust and moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, and noise.
