POSITION: PROCESS ENGINEER - EPI

ROLE SUMMARY

The Process Engineer will utilize a hands-on methodology to identify and implement enhancements in the silicon wafer manufacturing process within a high-volume production setting. The primary responsibilities include monitoring and optimizing safety, quality, yield, productivity, and cost-effectiveness by collaborating with operators, technicians, and maintenance teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement automated systems for effective process monitoring.
  • Diagnose equipment and process malfunctions, collaborating closely with maintenance and production teams to resolve issues.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce production costs.
  • Conduct engineering experiments, utilizing data to evaluate outcomes and identify optimal solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and project management with a proactive approach.
  • Exercise sound judgment in prioritizing tasks and balancing daily operational support with project-related activities.
  • Analyze and interpret data using statistical methods to drive process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead or contribute to root cause analysis and assist with Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA) to recommend improvements and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodologies.
  • Adhere to and maintain comprehensive documentation and procedures as mandated by the organization, providing support during audits by customers and internal reviewers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Material Science, or a related field).
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in process or equipment engineering within a manufacturing context.
  • Proficient in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting process data to inform decision-making.
  • Familiarity with statistical data analysis techniques (SPC, Excel tools).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment requiring multitasking.
  • Skilled in creating clear and concise reports, presentations, and process documentation.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to convey technical information effectively across all levels of the organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in semiconductor or similar manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with a focus on leadership and timely delivery.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
