Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Process Engineer to enhance our Cleave and Coat Operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives for continuous enhancement of manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal yield metrics through various analytical methods such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
  • Facilitate the production of established processes and products, which includes the creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs), process routing, and the documentation of work instructions while also training personnel.
  • Assess, acquire, and validate new manufacturing tools and materials.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering technicians on daily operations.
  • Address intricate technical challenges promptly to maintain production and development schedules.
  • Achieve consensus among relevant stakeholders prior to the implementation of new procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of pertinent industry experience, or a Master's degree in Physics, Material Science, Optical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Practical experience with magnetron sputtering is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with other Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) techniques such as Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE), Electron Beam (e-Beam), and Ion Beam Sputtering (IBS) is advantageous.
  • Experience in thin film characterization methodologies.
  • Proven capability in failure analysis and root cause investigation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in process development, including Design of Experiments (DoE), Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Preferred knowledge in optical coating design.
  • Experience with Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) systems and related equipment is a plus.
  • Preferred skills in programming for data logging and management.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary structure based on qualifications:

· Process Engineer I: $80,000 - $90,000

· Process Engineer II: $87,000 - $95,000

· Senior Process Engineer III: $100,000 - $125,000
