POSITION: PROCESS ENGINEER - EPI

ROLE SUMMARY

In this role, you will take a proactive approach to enhance the silicon wafer manufacturing process within a high-output production facility. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and improving safety, quality, yield, productivity, and cost-effectiveness by collaborating with operators, technicians, maintenance staff, and fellow engineers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement automated systems for effective process monitoring.
  • Diagnose equipment and process malfunctions, working closely with maintenance and production teams to resolve issues.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce production costs.
  • Conduct engineering experiments, utilizing data to evaluate outcomes and identify optimal solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and project management with a hands-on approach.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively, balancing daily process support with project-related responsibilities.
  • Utilize statistical methods to analyze and interpret data, driving data-informed process enhancements.
  • Lead or assist in root cause analysis and Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA) to recommend improvements and corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with various departments to achieve specific organizational objectives.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodologies.
  • Adhere to and maintain comprehensive procedures and documentation as required by the organization, supporting audits by customers and internal teams.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Material, or a related field).
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in process or equipment engineering within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting process data for informed decision-making.
  • Experience with statistical data analysis techniques (SPC, Excel tools).
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment requiring multitasking.
  • Skilled in creating clear and concise presentations, reports, and process documentation.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to convey technical information across all organizational levels.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in semiconductor or related manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with a track record of leadership and meeting deadlines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Candidates must be able to read and follow complex instructions and safety protocols. The role may require working in a clean room environment, necessitating the use of protective gear. Physical activities may include lifting up to 25 lbs, kneeling, bending, and prolonged computer use. Safety awareness is paramount, and occasional international travel may be necessary.
