Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Process Engineer specializing in thin film technologies to enhance our Cleave and Coat Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives for continuous enhancement of manufacturing processes while monitoring yield metrics through various analytical methodologies such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
- Facilitate the production of established processes and products, which includes creating Bills of Materials (BOMs), outlining operational procedures, and training personnel.
- Assess, acquire, and validate new manufacturing equipment and materials to ensure optimal performance.
- Work collaboratively with engineering technicians to streamline daily operations.
- Address and resolve intricate technical challenges promptly to maintain production and development timelines.
- Achieve consensus among relevant stakeholders prior to the implementation of new operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience, or a Master's degree in Physics, Material Science, Optical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with magnetron sputtering is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with other Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) techniques such as Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE), Electron Beam (e-Beam), and Ion Beam Sputtering (IBS) is also beneficial.
- Experience in thin film characterization methods.
- Proven capability in failure analysis and root cause investigation.
- Demonstrated experience in process development methodologies including Design of Experiments (DoE), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Six Sigma principles.
- Preferred background in optical coating design and Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) systems.
- Experience in programming for data acquisition and management is a plus.
