Position Summary

The Process Engineer will adopt a hands-on approach to identify and implement improvements in the silicon wafer manufacturing process within a high-volume production setting. The primary responsibilities include monitoring and enhancing safety, quality, yield, productivity, and cost efficiency by collaborating with operators, technicians, and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement automated systems for process monitoring.
  • Diagnose equipment and process issues, collaborating closely with maintenance and production teams to resolve them.
  • Optimize production costs and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Conduct engineering tests and analyze data to derive actionable insights.
  • Provide technical expertise and manage projects with a practical approach.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively, balancing daily production support with project-related responsibilities.
  • Utilize statistical methods to analyze data and drive process improvements.
  • Lead root cause analysis initiatives and assist with Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA) to recommend enhancements and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with various departments to achieve organizational goals.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles and maintain a 5S environment.
  • Ensure compliance with detailed procedures and documentation as per company standards, supporting audits by customers and internal teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Material Science, or a related field).
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in process or equipment engineering within a manufacturing context.
  • Proficient in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting process data for informed decision-making.
  • Experience with statistical data analysis techniques, including SPC and Excel tools.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment with a focus on multitasking.
  • Skilled in creating clear presentations, reports, and process documentation.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to convey technical information effectively across all company levels.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in semiconductor or related manufacturing sectors.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with a focus on leadership and meeting deadlines.
