Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to enhance our Cleave and Coat Operations team. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing processes and ensuring the sustainability of production methods.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead continuous improvement projects and monitor yield metrics using various analytical methods (e.g., SPC, Gauge R&R/MSA).
- Support the manufacturing of established processes and products, including the creation of BOMs and routes, documentation of work instructions, and training of personnel.
- Assess, acquire, and validate new manufacturing equipment and materials.
- Collaborate with engineering technicians on daily operations.
- Resolve complex technical challenges promptly to maintain production and development schedules.
- Build consensus among relevant teams prior to implementing new procedures.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience, or a Master’s degree in Physics (Material Science, Optical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering).
- Hands-on experience with magnetron sputtering is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with other PVD techniques (MBE, e-Beam, IBS) is also beneficial.
- Proficient in thin film characterization techniques.
- Proven ability in failure and root cause analysis.
- Experience in process development methodologies, including DoE, DFM, and Six Sigma.
- Preferred knowledge of optical coating design and UHV systems.
- Programming skills for data logging and management are advantageous.
