Our Commitment: We are dedicated to ensuring that everyone has access to fair and transparent credit.

Mission Lane LLC is a fintech organization focused on empowering individuals with equitable and straightforward credit. Our philosophy centers around fostering relationships that benefit all parties involved—our customers thrive when they succeed with our credit offerings, and we flourish when they prosper. It’s that straightforward. Our mission is to deliver top-tier products and services while elevating the standards of fair credit access.

As an employer of choice, we value our employees just as much as we value our customers. Our team actively seeks out best-in-class talent who contribute diverse perspectives and insights to our daily operations. Do you possess a relentless desire to learn, grow, and innovate? If so, we invite you to explore the opportunity to collaborate with us in achieving remarkable outcomes.

We are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Engineering Lead to join our team.

Your Role and Impact:

In this position, you will be instrumental in shaping the vision, strategy, and execution of comprehensive security solutions across our platform, data, engineering, and corporate environments. Your primary responsibility will be to safeguard Mission Lane's infrastructure, applications, data, and corporate environments, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement a holistic security strategy that aligns with Mission Lane's objectives.
  • Offer strategic direction and technical expertise to senior leadership and cross-functional teams regarding security best practices, industry developments, and emerging threats.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures that meet regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust security architectures for cloud-native systems, ensuring scalability, resilience, and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular security evaluations, threat modeling, and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and propose effective mitigations.
  • Partner with Platform and IT teams to integrate security measures into continuous integration and deployment workflows.
  • Oversee and coordinate incident response efforts during security incidents, performing root cause analyses and implementing corrective measures to avert future occurrences.
  • Encourage a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information security, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in security engineering and architecture, particularly within a cloud-native environment.
  • Proven experience in managing a team of security engineers in a cloud-native setting.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as GCP, GKE, Prisma Cloud, Kyverno, Cloudflare, among others.
  • Comprehensive understanding of security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Strong leadership and management abilities, with a talent for motivating and inspiring a team.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across teams.

Compensation:

Target base salary: $150,000 - $192,000

Additional compensation may include participation in our annual incentive program and equity, contingent on the role. Pay is determined by factors such as work experience, education, certifications, training, skills, and competencies related to the position. Mission Lane also provides a comprehensive benefits package, which includes unlimited paid time off, 401(k) matching, a monthly wellness stipend, health/dental/vision insurance options, disability coverage, paid parental leave, flexible spending accounts (for childcare and healthcare), life insurance, and a remote-friendly work environment.

About Mission Lane:

Founded in December 2018, Mission Lane is a purpose-driven fintech company based in the U.S. Our journey began with the realization that nearly fifty percent of the adult population in the U.S. lacks access to a clear line of credit. Many traditional credit card companies either overlook or overcharge this demographic due to less-than-perfect credit scores or the absence of scores altogether. We recognized that this was unacceptable.

In collaboration with our sponsor banks, we offer credit cards under the Mission Lane brand, featuring better, clearer terms and an enhanced customer experience compared to alternatives available to those striving to improve their credit.

To date, over three million consumers have chosen Mission Lane, earning high customer ratings for its market segment and industry-leading Net Promoter scores.

Mission Lane has successfully raised over $600 million in equity from prominent investors, including Invus Opportunities, QED Investors, LL Funds, and other leading investors.

Mission Lane is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to sex, race, color, age, national origin, religion, physical and mental disability, genetic information, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity/assignment, citizenship, pregnancy or maternity, protected veteran status, or any other status prohibited by applicable national, federal, state, or local law.
