Overview:
Shuvel Digital is engaged in supporting a significant U.S. Government initiative focused on the design, development, and operational management of a network operations environment. This includes the integration of innovative cybersecurity capabilities to counteract emerging threats.

Role Summary:
We are looking for a Principal Test Engineer to contribute to the Agile-driven design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and facilitate continuous testing activities in close collaboration with Agile development and integration teams.
  • Define, plan, and execute test assignments for large-scale, complex software and hardware systems.
  • Establish both automated and manual testing methodologies, develop comprehensive test plans, and create detailed test procedures and reports.
  • Work alongside developers to design appropriate automated and manual tests for software features, interfaces, and workflows.
  • Participate in test readiness reviews and design evaluations.
  • Utilize software development expertise to ensure the validity, integrity, quality, and execution of tests.
  • Conduct tests that involve close collaboration with team members to establish requirements for language, database, and computer configurations.
  • Plan and implement testing strategies using advanced technologies and frameworks.
  • Maintain thorough test documentation, including plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Analyze test outcomes and communicate findings effectively with management and team members.
  • Document and inform program management of any deviations from customer specifications.

Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Active Secret clearance; must be eligible for TS/SCI clearance.
  • Must obtain DHS Suitability.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in an Agile environment.
  • 4+ years of experience in automated and/or manual testing.
  • Proficient in Agile Continuous Development / Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery, with hands-on experience using automated testing tools.
  • 2+ years of software development experience using Java, Cucumber, Gherkin, or similar languages in an Agile context.
  • Experience with requirements development and management.
  • Ability to plan and execute security testing.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering and configuration management processes.
  • Strong documentation skills related to testing.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with Agile teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with both automated and manual testing processes.
  • Hands-on experience in DevOps or DevSecOps.
  • Technical knowledge of cybersecurity attack methodologies and corresponding mitigation strategies.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Perl, Ruby, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with database technologies including SQL, Oracle, MySQL, and NoSQL.
  • Prior experience with DHS initiatives.
  • Experience in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.

Education Requirements:
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Systems Engineering. Two years of relevant work experience may substitute for each year of degree level education.

Desired Certifications:
DoD IAT Level II, Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP) or similar, Agile development certifications, AWS Certifications.
