Job Overview:
As a Chief Systems Engineer specializing in Intelligence and Cybersecurity, you will spearhead the technical advancement of RF and SATCOM-based communication systems and infrastructure. Your role will encompass the execution of projects aimed at developing and deploying ruggedized and transportable communication solutions, which include:
  • Establishing and implementing a comprehensive technical roadmap to drive innovation and enhance product and infrastructure performance.
  • Leading system concept development, design, testing, and deployment of operational systems and networks.
  • Demonstrating expertise in RF, SATCOM (P-LEO, MEO, GEO), and Beyond Line-of-Sight technologies and architectures.
  • Defining system architecture and preparing necessary technical documentation, including CDRL documentation and Technical Data Packages (TDP) for customer delivery.
  • Overseeing ground system development and implementation, including integration, testing, delivery, installation, user training, and ongoing engineering support.
  • Designing and developing systems within both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Conducting tests and characterizations of communication systems in laboratory settings.
  • Integrating and field-testing communication solutions within larger network systems.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse range of customers, both internal and external.
  • Gathering requirements from customers and other technical stakeholders.
  • Developing CONOPS, including system/subsystem-level sequence diagrams, user cases, and user stories.
  • Utilizing CM tool sets such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
  • Supporting Business Area leadership with ongoing projects and system modeling initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, up to 10% of the time.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
Active Secret Security Clearance is required.

Preferred Additional Skills:
Possession of an Active Top Secret Clearance is advantageous.
Experience or coursework in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration, project management, and model-based systems engineering is preferred.
Familiarity with antenna measurements is highly desirable.
Experience in wireless system design and architecture, system integration, testing, debugging, and defect analysis is beneficial.
Proficiency with RF lab equipment, including power meters, spectrum analyzers, and vector signal generators is a plus.
Experience with system modeling and simulation software is preferred.
Embedded programming experience is advantageous, with Python being a preferred language.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Agile SAFe, is beneficial.
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as MagicDraw/Cameo System Modeler, JAMA, DOORS, Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody, and other RM/PLM tools is a plus.
Experience with projects involving the Iridium Space-based Cellular Network or Starlink and other P-LEO constellations is advantageous.
Familiarity with source code repository tools is beneficial.
