Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer to enhance our Infrastructure, Security, and Monitoring Team, which caters to both commercial and federal clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and oversee security protocols to safeguard computer networks and sensitive information.
  • Evaluate system vulnerabilities and devise effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure the establishment of robust security controls to protect digital assets and critical electronic infrastructure.
  • Assist the Security Operations Center (SOC) in addressing cybersecurity incidents and breaches.
  • Contribute to the ongoing monitoring, reporting, and recommendations related to the Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms).

Essential Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and documentation.
  • Proficient in the administration and management of POA&Ms.
  • Experience in managing and evaluating security controls.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST 800 Series and DoD 8570, including DISA STIGs and SRGs.
  • Understanding of Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) principles, including two-factor authentication, Public Key encryption, patch management, endpoint security, and intrusion detection.
  • Experience with security tools like Rapid 7, Tenable Security Center, and Nessus.
  • Knowledge of maintaining Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) inventory records using tools like Xacta360.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working with minimal supervision.
