Workforce Development and Refugee Services: Since our inception, CAMBA has successfully connected over 25,000 individuals to sustainable employment opportunities. Our workforce initiatives are rooted in the principles of equity and inclusion, focusing on empowering the most vulnerable populations, including refugees, political asylees, and immigrant professionals. We specialize in providing tailored career development pathways and training programs that align with the needs of both job seekers and employer partners.

Role: Home Visit and Intake Specialist

Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Trauma Services Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure adherence to all relevant security and privacy regulations regarding client information.
    • Maintain accurate client and program records in accordance with funder requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Client Engagement and Intake:
    • Manage and prioritize screening and follow-up calls to gather essential client information.
    • Document critical client details for the case management team.
    • Work collaboratively with the case management team to coordinate services and ensure comprehensive documentation for all clients.
  • Home Visits:
    • Conduct home assessments to evaluate living conditions and identify client needs.
    • Complete necessary documentation during home visits.
    • Assess client eligibility for housing assistance and provide recommendations to the case management team.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Coordinate inventory management and distribution of promotional materials.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to administrative processes.
    • Prepare reports and provide necessary information to management and funders.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Screen clients for eligibility and recommend appropriate services.
    • Assist in client registration for various programs.
    • Conduct initial assessments and accompany staff on home visits as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in client services or case management.
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Creole is essential.
  • Commitment to refugee services and workforce development.
  • Familiarity with housing and public assistance systems in New York City.
  • Ability to build partnerships with community organizations.

Compensation: The annual salary for this position is $47,000.

Status: This is a full-time position, requiring 35 hours per week.
