Workforce Development and Refugee Services: CAMBA has successfully connected over 25,000 New Yorkers to stable employment opportunities. Our initiatives are rooted in the principles of equity and inclusion, focusing on empowering the most vulnerable populations, including refugees, asylees, and immigrant professionals. We specialize in addressing the unique barriers faced by these groups, offering tailored training and support to help them navigate their career paths effectively.

Role of the Home Visit and Intake Specialist:

  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to all relevant security and privacy regulations regarding client information. Maintain program records that meet funder requirements and align with internal quality assurance standards.
  • Client Engagement: Manage the scheduling of intake calls and appointments, gathering essential information to support case management efforts. Collaborate with the team to ensure comprehensive documentation of client needs and services.
  • Home Evaluations: Conduct assessments of client living conditions through home visits, determining eligibility for various support services. Document findings and recommend appropriate assistance to enhance housing stability.
  • Administrative Duties: Oversee inventory management and distribution of promotional materials. Participate in team meetings and contribute to reporting requirements for management and funders.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Screen clients for service eligibility, assist with program registrations, and support initial assessments. May accompany team members on home visits and travel to various locations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in client services, case management, or conducting home visits.
  • Proficient documentation skills, ensuring accurate recording of client information.

Additional Requirements:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Creole is essential.
  • Commitment to refugee services and workforce development.
  • Familiarity with housing and public assistance systems in New York City.
  • Ability to build partnerships with community organizations.

Compensation: The annual salary for this position is $47,000, with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, a retirement plan with employer matching, and paid time off.
