Program: Family Enrichment Center
Reports to: Program Director
Status: Full Time, 35 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with potential evening and Saturday commitments
Compensation: $47,000 annually
The Family Enrichment Center (FEC) adopts a community-focused primary prevention strategy aimed at improving the well-being of children and families by fostering protective factors and enhancing community resilience.
Role Overview: The Bilingual Family Support Specialist is instrumental in engaging with community members, developing and implementing programs, providing advocacy and referrals, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at the FEC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with local families and community members to organize and facilitate monthly events at the FEC.
- Advocate for program participants and connect them with essential services and resources.
- Encourage participation from community members of all ages in FEC initiatives.
- Oversee enrollment processes, maintain the facility, and manage inventory.
- Employ tracking systems to gather program data and interact with stakeholders.
- Assist in managing the website and outreach efforts.
- Engage in collaborative learning with FEC teams from various locations.
- Carry out additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree and three (3) years of relevant professional experience; or a high school diploma with five (5) years of experience in community-focused programs.
- Fluency in Russian is required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities are essential.
- Experience in community programs or child/youth development is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and adaptable work environment.
- Commitment to a strength-based, trauma-informed approach is essential.
