Job Description:

Aston Carter is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join their team in Quincy, IL. This role involves coordinating and executing procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials and stock.

The ideal candidate will have experience with planning, scheduling, and coordinating inventory, as well as a strong understanding of supply chain management principles. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, negotiating prices, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate procurement activities to meet business needs
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services
  • Negotiate prices and terms with vendors
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Monitor and report on procurement metrics and trends

Requirements:

  • Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience with planning, scheduling, and coordinating inventory
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
