We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Sirtex Medical. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling inventory levels, processing purchasing requisitions, and providing sourcing recommendations.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to determine reordering needs and control inventory through data-driven forecasting.
- Process internal purchasing requisitions for materials and services, ensuring compliance with approved supplier lists and internal specifications.
- Provide sourcing recommendations for materials and services, leveraging approved supplier lists and industry expertise.
- Assist with sourcing and onboarding new suppliers, ensuring seamless integration into our procurement processes.
- Manage purchases by monitoring expected deliveries, expediting or adjusting as necessary to meet inventory levels.
- Verify receipt of items against purchase orders, resolving any discrepancies with the receiving department or suppliers.
- Authorize and reconcile payments for purchases, ensuring accurate verification of receipts.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, adhering to specified filing procedures and release processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SAP purchasing modules and material master, with prior experience in a medical manufacturing facility and/or FDA experience preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a purchasing or buyer role, with excellent organizational, negotiation, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and collaborate with all levels of personnel within the organization.
- Participate in all formal training events as directed by management.
- Comply with all Sirtex Corporate Policies and procedures.
- Work within and ensure adherence to Quality System procedures, work instructions, and other Quality System requirements.
- Work within and ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment Management System procedures, instructions, and other requirements.
The target base salary range for this position is $68,000 to $91,000 annually, with individual compensation based on non-discriminatory factors such as geographic location, skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors. This role is eligible to participate in Sirtex's incentive programs and benefit plans, including paid sick and vacation time, health insurance, and a generous 401(k) matching program.
