Role Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and organized individual to fulfill the role of Shipping Clerk. In this position, you will be essential in guaranteeing the prompt and precise dispatch of products to our clientele. You will work closely with our warehouse personnel to ensure smooth shipping operations while prioritizing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately prepare and process orders for shipment.
  • Examine shipment contents and confirm accuracy against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Inspect and document incoming and outgoing shipments for any damages or discrepancies.
  • Maintain a well-stocked inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Securely package products to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Utilize computer software systems to create shipping labels and documentation.
  • Coordinate with carriers and schedule shipments according to customer needs.
  • Monitor deliveries to ensure timely arrival and address any delivery challenges.
  • Manage the inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Assist in maintaining warehouse organization to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Keep accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance overall shipping processes and efficiencies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with shipping software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience with inventory management systems is advantageous.
