Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver at our Privately Owned Distributor in Cedar Rapids. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow all state and federal regulations and guidelines for record keeping, including scheduling vehicle maintenance and annual certification or inspections.
  • Deliver products across Central and Eastern Iowa on a daily basis.
  • Prepare orders for shipment and verify accuracy of part numbers and counts throughout the day.
  • Meet required due dates and times for deliveries as stated on sales orders.
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Operate equipment in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • Assist in the warehouse as needed:
    • Handle shipping and receiving of products in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
    • Unload deliveries arriving by truck and assist drivers when requested.
    • Put away received stock daily.
    • Assist with inventory counting procedures.
    • Daily effort to maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
    • Other duties or special projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Forklift experience is valuable.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. on occasion.
  • Warehouse environment involves heat in summer and cold in winter, with much activity outside.
