As part of this commitment, we are seeking a Nursing Admissions Specialist to facilitate the application process for nursing programs. This role is essential in providing administrative assistance to nursing faculty and ensuring a smooth selection process for applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide prospective students through the nursing program application process and offer administrative support to nursing supervisors and faculty during the selection phase.
- Oversee all activities related to the instructor-initiated withdrawal policy.
- Act as the admissions liaison with various college divisions concerning dual enrollment.
- Manage the reporting process of required records to external agencies.
- Provide technical support to students regarding the PeopleSoft Student Information System (SIS) and the admissions application.
- Regularly update the admissions and records website, review applications, send acceptance notifications, and process student deferment forms.
- Assist with student registration, deliver exceptional customer service, and support other administrative tasks as directed by the supervisor.
- Uphold the college's mission to empower individuals through education and skill development.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with the public and community college stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Fairness and adaptability in engaging with a diverse student population.
- Proficient organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

- Competent keyboarding and computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with general office procedures.
