Position Title: Agricultural Program Coordinator
Job Overview: The Agricultural Program Coordinator is tasked with overseeing the management and execution of agricultural, forestry, and environmental initiatives. This role is governed by applicable state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and management of state and federal programs.
- Oversee program budgets and procure necessary goods and services to achieve objectives.
- Interpret and communicate policies, procedures, and regulations related to agricultural and environmental programs.
- Provide technical assistance and information to local government officials and community members.
- Conduct workshops and meetings to educate stakeholders on agency policies and grant opportunities.
- Manage grant administration tasks, including application reviews and performance reporting.
- Support reforestation efforts through tree improvement and management activities.
- Monitor fire weather conditions and assist in fire mapping and documentation.
Travel Requirements: This position may require frequent travel within the state.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, forestry, environmental science, or a related field, along with one year of relevant experience in environmental regulation or a similar area. Additional qualifications may be considered upon review.

- Understanding of state and federal regulations governing agriculture and environmental programs.
- Proficient in planning and analytical techniques.
- Ability to manage grant-funded initiatives and monitor progress.
- Skilled in developing best management practices and providing technical support.
- Competent in conducting inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
- Adept at data analysis and report preparation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
