Sous Chef Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Daisy's Po' Boy and Tavern in Hyde Park, Chicago.

About the Role

This is a full-time salaried position that requires a minimum of 1 year of cooking experience and 1 year of restaurant experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent culinary skills, be able to work well under pressure, and maintain a high level of respect for the team, product, and guests.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in managing food cost and labor cost.
  • Prepare assigned items for food service, following standard recipes and using safe and sanitary food handling practices.
  • Assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods.
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience as a sous chef or similar role is preferred.

Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary of $58,000 per year, paid holidays, and weekend availability. The schedule includes 12 hour shifts, evening shifts, and night shifts.
