Senior Field Service Technician to contribute to our
Technical Support Team. This role involves representing the company in the field, providing expert assistance for our advanced lighting control solutions. Responsibilities include system setup, user training, troubleshooting, and servicing of products. Collaboration with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Sales teams is essential to address product challenges and fulfill customer requirements. Additionally, the role includes offering support and training to internal personnel while delivering technical insights.

Key Responsibilities


Analyze project documentation and specifications to implement control schemes, ensuring the functionality of local Room controllers, Segment controllers, and gateway components like BACnet/MSTP and BacNet/IP.


Commission and deliver exceptional field technical support for all control components, ensuring alignment with Project Management designs and specifications.


Assist with BMS integration challenges as necessary.

Serve as a subject matter expert, mentoring and training colleagues; provide support to internal teams.

Build relationships with regional sales personnel to foster goodwill and collaboration.


Engage with integration technicians, building owners, managers, and contractors to resolve technical issues related to lighting control integration and functionality.

Utilize WS and other specialized software tools for control sequence implementation and validation.

Update and annotate control-related design drawings and documentation for owner compilation.

Collaborate with the Engineering team on unresolved control-related field issues, providing technical expertise for resolution.

Work with Project Managers and Engineering teams on potential product enhancements.

Assist in creating training materials related to DLM and BAcNet controls.

Conduct training sessions on control systems in both classroom and job site environments for internal and external clients.

Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Essential Skills

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:
A minimum of six to eight years of experience with electrical control systems.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Proficient networking experience with routers, hubs, LAN lines, etc.

Integration knowledge of BACnet and TCP/IP devices is essential.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Comfortable documenting business activities.

Strong customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Excellent computer and networking skills, with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, email, and meeting management tools. Familiarity with networking and programmable logic software systems.

Ability to efficiently utilize internet and web-based resources. Strong analytical skills with the capability to identify trends and implement proactive corrective measures.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively across all organizational levels.

Must be an attentive listener, capable of extracting necessary information and confirming understanding.

Willingness to travel up to 80%, with a minimum of 25% required.
