Position SummaryThe Hydronic Systems Technician plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding service within the Lunt Marymor Hydronic Service Department, guided by the Service Manager and Hydronic Heating Manager. This position involves the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of Hydronic and Plumbing systems. The technician is also responsible for preparing proposals for clients requiring hydronic services or repairs. A friendly demeanor and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Duties
- Install, test, and troubleshoot Hydronic and Plumbing systems and their components.
Sales Responsibilities
- Generate precise and detailed Hydronic work orders and estimates.
- Proactively sell new and additional service work by assessing client requests and observing their environments; educate clients on potential solutions.
- Maintain timely communication with clients regarding diagnostics, scope of work, recommendations, follow-up schedules, and job completion feedback.
- Engage with Lunt Marymor clients, team members, and vendors throughout the entire service process.
Administrative Tasks
- Maintain a high level of organization and efficiency.
- Exhibit sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.
- Order necessary tools and materials for projects.
- Interact with Lunt Marymor Team Members, Clients, and Vendors in a friendly and productive manner, whether in person, via phone, or electronically.
- Collaborate daily with the Service Manager to optimize the use of company resources, including crew, materials, equipment, and vehicles.
- Review and respond to service requests and inquiries promptly.
- Assist the Service Manager and Principal with various duties as needed.
- Ensure accurate reporting of time and materials related to the heating department's activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Journeyman-level expertise.
- A minimum of five years of experience in the Hydronic heating sector, with extensive knowledge in residential and/or commercial applications.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- In-depth understanding of the Uniform Plumbing Code.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work after hours and/or weekends for emergencies only.
- Capability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and the ability to learn industry-specific software.
The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with flexibility required as situations arise.
