Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Services Manager to join our team at St. Mary's Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our community outreach and engagement efforts, developing and implementing programs that improve the quality of life for seniors, and building strong relationships with community partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Develop and lead programs that promote socialization, health, and wellness among seniors, including nutrition, advocacy, counseling, and shelter services.
    • Collaborate with community partners to design and deliver programs that meet the needs of seniors and promote community engagement.
  • Community Outreach and Partnerships
    • Build and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, stakeholders, and individuals to identify needs and engage supportive services and resources.
    • Represent St. Mary's Center at governmental and partner meetings to promote our mission and goals.
  • Event Development and Marketing
    • Develop and host events that recognize holidays, cultural events, and music and cultural performances that inform, educate, and engage seniors.
    • Use local, social, and community media to highlight and promote St. Mary's Center activities in coordination with our communications team.
  • Data and Documentation
    • Work with the Data Team to develop and administer systems of documentation for program participation, activities, incidents, funding accountability, and other essential information.
    • Comply with State and Federal requirements on client confidentiality and privacy.
Requirements
  • 4-6 years of professional experience in community outreach and engagement, including direct experience working in or with community and/or homelessness organizations.
  • Prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion and demonstrates multi-cultural competency.
  • TB test required; flu shot recommended.
  • Computer competency, including Microsoft Office Suite, social media, and database experience.
  • Experience in human services, homelessness, nutrition; familiarity with issues and care relevant to aging, mental health.
  • Bilingual (Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Tagalog) a plus.
