Position Summary: The role of a Caregiver is vital for individuals who require assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, eating, and maintaining personal hygiene. Caregivers often provide support to elderly or disabled clients in either residential or facility-based environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed medications to clients
  • Assist clients with mobility and movement within their home or during outings
  • Support clients with personal hygiene and grooming
  • Facilitate clients' participation in physical therapy and exercise routines
  • Accompany clients during shopping trips or handle shopping tasks on their behalf
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation as needed
  • Gather information regarding clients' health conditions and treatment plans from healthcare professionals and family members
  • Report any unusual occurrences to medical staff and family
  • Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in caregiving is preferred but not mandatory
  • Current CPR Certification from a recognized organization
  • Commitment to following health and safety protocols
  • Understanding of household management and cooking with consideration for dietary needs
  • Demonstrated respect and compassion towards clients
  • Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina to perform required duties
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
