As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating employees to maximize productivity and minimize operating costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Motivate Employees: Foster a positive and productive work environment, ensuring employees are empowered to achieve their full potential.
  • Coach and Develop Employees: Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Review and Optimize Schedules: Analyze and optimize work schedules and production schedules to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure Quality and Safety: Ensure that products are produced at an acceptable quality level, and that all safety protocols and regulations are followed.
  • Drive Compliance and Efficiency: Drive department compliance with established safety, training, and regulatory requirements, and maximize operational efficiency by ensuring units run in optimal operating conditions.
  • Facilitate Training and Qualification: Facilitate operations training and qualification process to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Participate in LEAN Manufacturing: Participate in and lead LEAN manufacturing activities to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Conduct Safety and Sanitation Inspections: Conduct routine safety and sanitation inspections to promote employee safety and good housekeeping.
  • Schedule Production: Schedule production for the plant's product circuits to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage Productivity and Efficiencies: Manage productivity and efficiencies using metrics and continuous improvement protocol.
  • Fill in for Operations Manager: Fill in for Operations Manager when needed to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Ability to Work a Swing Shift: Ability to work a swing shift as required.
  • Physical Demands: The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Conduct yearly performance reviews for subordinates in accordance with Company policy.
Requirements:
  • 3+ Years of Supervisory Experience: 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, including knowledge of inventory systems, quality systems, OSHA & EPA requirements, and ERP.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, management, and other departments.
  • Experience in Managing Resources: Experience in managing resources efficiently, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Commitment to Continuous Improvement: Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, with a focus on optimizing processes and enhancing productivity.
  • Prior Experience in Safety and Regulations: Prior experience promoting and maintaining a safe working environment, with knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
  • Ability to Adapt to Changing Circumstances: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks in a dynamic production environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline: Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience Leading in a Union Environment: Experience leading in a union environment.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification: Lean Six Sigma Certification.
