Apex Imaging Services is a comprehensive solution provider specializing in multi-site rollouts for various renovation, refresh, or technology integration initiatives across the retail, restaurant, hospitality, and petroleum sectors.

Position Summary:

The Field Project Manager 1 plays a crucial role in overseeing daily field operations and managing teams to ensure successful project execution. This role requires maintaining quality assurance processes to meet client standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance productivity and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly visiting job sites to monitor project timelines, quality, communication, and execution.
  • Collaborating with Senior and Construction Project Managers to facilitate successful project outcomes.
  • Providing daily updates on project status based on field observations.
  • Effectively communicating with field teams, subcontractors, superintendents, project managers, and store management to ensure alignment and resource availability for project success.
  • Overseeing the entire lifecycle of multi-site construction projects.
  • Contributing to project planning, budgeting, and resource identification.
  • Ensuring construction activities adhere to the established schedule.
  • Maintaining effective communication with contractors responsible for various project phases.
  • Managing field staff to execute assigned projects efficiently.
  • Regularly monitoring construction progress and conducting status meetings with all sub-teams.
  • Upholding strict compliance with budgetary constraints, quality, and safety standards.
  • Conducting routine inspections of construction sites.
  • Addressing customer inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Identifying potential disputes and claims in project design and construction.
  • Reviewing and refining quality control processes to align with customer expectations.
  • Organizing team meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.
  • Preparing and submitting daily/weekly project status reports to the Project Management team.
  • Supporting and implementing change management activities within project scope.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in commercial construction.
  • Background in fast-paced remodels, tenant improvements, and multi-site rollouts.
  • Familiarity with Big-Box Retail and Quick Service/Fast Casual Restaurants.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in the construction industry or related fields such as carpentry, electrical work, painting, plumbing, etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple sites and teams simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of MEP Building Systems.

Work Schedule and Travel:

This position requires extensive travel to job sites nationwide based on active projects, with potential for several weeks of travel at a time depending on project needs.
