Apex Imaging Services specializes in comprehensive solutions for nationwide rollouts involving renovations, updates, or technology integrations across various sectors including retail, dining, hospitality, and fuel.

Role Overview:

The Project Manager 1 is accountable for the holistic planning, scheduling, resource management, financial oversight, and conceptual development of construction initiatives. This role also encompasses providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project objectives, timelines, performance standards, and select project team members.
  • Optimize resource utilization – including labor, materials, and equipment – while ensuring cost-effective procurement.
  • Implement operational strategies through effective coordination.
  • Establish strong communication channels to prevent and resolve conflicts among project participants.
  • Oversee the execution of multi-site construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Play a pivotal role in project planning, budgeting, and resource identification.
  • Formulate teams, set objectives/goals, and assign individual responsibilities.
  • Manage project financials, including budget oversight, expense tracking, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure construction activities progress according to the established schedule.
  • Develop and adjust project work plans as necessary.
  • Maintain effective communication with contractors responsible for various project phases.
  • Coordinate efforts among all stakeholders, including architects, consultants, contractors, and labor resources.
  • Regularly monitor construction progress and conduct status meetings with sub-teams.
  • Uphold strict compliance with budgetary constraints, quality, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure completeness of project documentation.
  • Identify potential design and construction issues that may lead to disputes or claims.
  • Act as a primary liaison with clients and review deliverables prepared by the team prior to client submission.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in commercial construction (renovations, tenant improvements, etc.) within sectors such as big box retail and fast-casual dining.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge and experience in carpentry, electrical work, painting, plumbing, etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple sites, crews, and teams simultaneously.
  • A four-year degree in civil engineering; a postgraduate degree in construction management is a plus.

Work Schedule and Travel:

This position requires travel to various job sites nationwide based on active projects, which may involve extended periods away from home.
