About the Role

We are seeking a visionary Executive Chef to lead our culinary teams at the Steamboat Ski Resort. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for elevating our culinary offerings in our three dining venues and event space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee menu development and maintain high standards of food quality
  • Lead a team of culinary professionals to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Develop and implement processes for kitchen service, organization, and maintenance
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to market the restaurant brand through various media channels
  • Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
  • Control costs by monitoring and evaluating food, labor, and operating expenses
  • Continuously seek improvement in self, staff, and restaurant operations
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in culinary arts or a minimum 4 years' experience as an Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef
  • At least 4 years' experience in a leadership role as an Executive Sous Chef or Executive Chef in a professional kitchen
  • Prior food and beverage kitchen management experience required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, as well as Food Trak, preferred
  • Ability to problem solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff
