Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Performance Chef to join our team at Team USA. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals for our athletes and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and execution of menu development, ensuring that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food production, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef to develop and implement recipes, menus, and food preparation procedures that meet the needs of our athletes and staff.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in accordance with Team USA's culinary standards and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the highest quality ingredients and products.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and waste to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Participate in daily shift briefings and communicate effectively with the culinary team to ensure seamless food service operations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef or other management staff.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a production chef or apprentice in quantity food production.
  • Minimum 2 years of team leader experience with proven ability to lead and guide team members through daily assignments.
  • ServeSafe certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
  • Thorough knowledge of proper sanitation and safety practices as they relate to day-to-day responsibilities and health department regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of menu planning, food costing, and inventory management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff.
