About the Role

Myriad Genetics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our Oncology Sales team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for selling our portfolio of cancer genetic tests to oncologists and other healthcare providers in your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Business Development: Sell the value of our molecular diagnostic tests and interpretation to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Relationship Building: Identify, develop, and manage commercial relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in oncology medicine and other key healthcare professionals.
  • Training and Education: Provide in-service training to clinical practice office staff on our products and services.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Work with local phlebotomy providers to streamline specimen acquisition and identify and facilitate partnerships with pathology labs.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Deliver and/or coordinate local talks, arrange peer-to-peer programs to groups, and drive brand advocacy.
  • Market Analysis and Research: Utilize Territory Planning Tools for strategy and planning, including target accounts, frequency of calls, etc.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Update Salesforce (CRM) to track targeting, frequency, messaging, and strategic/tactical information.
  • Business Growth and Development: Identify and capitalize on commercial opportunities for growth within a specific region or geography.
  • Product Sales and Management: Manage the full lifecycle of the product sales process, including new business development and lead generation via programs and other initiatives.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the marketing team on the development of sales and marketing collateral and attend local tradeshows, oncology conferences, and networking events.
  • Industry Knowledge and Staying Current: Stay current on industry and marketplace trends in the areas of personalized medicine.
Requirements
  • Education: BS/BA degree required, ideally in a related field of study.
  • Experience: 3+ years of sales experience in biotech, biopharma, molecular and/or blood test diagnostics or capital equipment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in Oncology space preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, documented successful track record in sales, and proven ability to manage ever-increasing responsibility and sustain growth.
  • Product Knowledge: In-depth product knowledge and knowledge of disease states in current field of expertise.
  • Sales Approach: Models the consultative sales approach and recognized by others for excellent selling and presentation skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Effective at overcoming obstacles and challenges utilizing problem-solving skills.
  • Reimbursement and HIPAA: Strong knowledge and understanding of coverage and reimbursement issues and working knowledge and application of HIPAA laws, privacy, and ethics surrounding patient privacy and information.
  • Values and Ethics: Demonstrates values and ethics that support Myriad's mission, goals, and professional code of conduct.
  • Discretion and Professionalism: Uses discretion and professionalism as it relates to handling patient and physician information and documentation.
  • Integrity: Track record of demonstrating integrity, even when inconvenient.
  • Flexibility and Innovation: Must be flexible, innovative, and self-motivated.
  • Systems and Software: Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and CRM, preferably Salesforce.
  • Travel and Driving: Ability to travel and do overnights as needed and valid driver's license and driving record that meets safe and satisfactory criteria per Myriad's motor vehicle driving record policy.
