Myriad Genetics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our team. As an Account Executive, you will play a critical role in selling our molecular diagnostic tests to oncologists and other healthcare providers in your assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities- Sell Molecular Diagnostic Tests: Sell the value of our molecular diagnostic tests to physicians and other healthcare providers, highlighting the benefits of our tests in guiding personalized medical management decisions and improving patient outcomes.
- Develop Commercial Relationships: Identify, develop, and manage commercial relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in oncology medicine and other key healthcare professionals.
- Provide In-Service Training: Provide in-service training to clinical practice office staff on our molecular diagnostic tests and their applications.
- Streamline Specimen Acquisition: Work with local phlebotomy providers to streamline specimen acquisition and improve the efficiency of our testing process.
- Facilitate Partnerships: Identify and facilitate partnerships with pathology labs to expand our reach and improve patient access to our tests.
- Deliver Local Talks: Deliver local talks and presentations to groups of healthcare professionals to educate them on our molecular diagnostic tests and their applications.
- Manage Territory Planning: Utilize Territory Planning Tools to develop and implement a strategic plan for your territory, including target accounts, frequency of calls, and messaging.
- Update Salesforce: Update Salesforce (CRM) to track targeting, frequency, messaging, and strategic/tactical information.
- Identify Commercial Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on commercial opportunities for growth within your territory, including new business development and lead generation.
- Collaborate with Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales and marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, and other materials.
- Attend Industry Events: Attend local tradeshows, oncology conferences, and networking events to stay current on industry trends and developments.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field of study, such as biology, chemistry, or a related life science.
- Experience: 3+ years of sales experience in the biotech, biopharma, molecular diagnostics, or capital equipment industries.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the oncology industry, including disease states, treatment options, and emerging trends.
- Sales Skills: Proven sales skills, including the ability to build relationships, communicate complex information, and close deals.
- Product Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of our molecular diagnostic tests and their applications.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proven problem-solving skills, including the ability to overcome obstacles and challenges.
- Reimbursement Knowledge: Strong knowledge of coverage and reimbursement issues, including HIPAA laws and regulations.
