Role Summary
As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be crucial in driving the advancement of care for individuals diagnosed with Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS) by delivering educational insights to a select group of healthcare providers. You will collaborate closely with various internal teams to enhance understanding of clinical diagnoses, supporting the launch of IMCIVREE for BBS and other relevant indications related to POMC/PCSK1 or LEPR deficiencies. This role is under the supervision of the West Field Sales Director and encompasses specific territories.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate strategic business plans that align with brand objectives and organizational goals.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders and target specialists within the designated area, ensuring the delivery of clinically relevant information.
- Work in tandem with field-based stakeholders to proactively meet customer needs, identify market trends, and relay insights to marketing teams.
- Collaborate with marketing departments to create materials that address customer requirements and support team initiatives.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and optimize performance in achieving annual targets.
- Organize and implement local promotional events and speaker programs.
- Participate in and lead initiatives that foster sales success, including industry congresses and medical conferences.
- Ensure accurate data management and reporting within the CRM system.
- Effectively utilize the allocated budget for the territory to execute strategies aimed at achieving business objectives.
- Complete all corporate and administrative tasks efficiently, including compliance training and expense reporting, adhering to deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in specialty pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales.
- Experience in rare diseases, particularly within endocrinology and pediatrics, is highly desirable; prior launch experience is advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in complex markets with diverse customer bases.
- Strong command of scientific data with the ability to communicate effectively to varied audiences.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on active listening and productive customer engagement.
- Self-driven and energetic, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate and work towards shared objectives in a culture of accountability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on solutions.
- Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and sound business judgment.
- In-depth understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance.
- Willingness to travel up to 80% as required.
This position is field-based, and candidates must be prepared for frequent travel.
