Position Summary
As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be crucial in advancing the care of individuals diagnosed with Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS) by delivering essential disease education to a targeted group of healthcare providers. You will collaborate closely with various internal teams to facilitate education on clinical diagnosis, particularly in relation to the launch of IMCIVREE for BBS and other related indications in POMC/PCSK1 or LEPR deficiencies. This role reports to the West Field Sales Director and encompasses the territories of TX, OK, and AR.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate strategic business plans that align with brand objectives and organizational goals.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders and specialists within the designated territory, ensuring the effective communication of clinically relevant information.
- Work collaboratively with field-based stakeholders to proactively address client needs, identify market trends, and relay insights to marketing teams.
- Partner with marketing departments to create materials that support customer engagement and team initiatives.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and optimize performance in achieving annual targets.
- Plan and execute local promotional events and speaker programs.
- Participate in and lead initiatives that contribute to sales success, including industry congresses, regional meetings, and medical conferences.
- Ensure accurate data capture and reporting within the CRM system.
- Optimize the allocated budget for the territory to effectively implement strategies and achieve business objectives.
- Complete all corporate and administrative tasks efficiently, including compliance training and expense reporting, adhering to established deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in specialty pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales.
- Experience in rare diseases is highly desirable, particularly in endocrinology and pediatrics; experience with product launches is advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in complex markets with diverse customer segments.
- Strong ability to understand and communicate scientific data effectively to various audiences.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on active listening and productive customer engagement.
- Self-driven and energetic individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and take accountability to achieve shared goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound business judgment.
- Solid understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Willingness to travel up to 80% as needed.
This position is field-based, and candidates must be prepared for frequent travel.
