Job Overview

Spherion is seeking a seasoned Chief Operations Officer to drive business growth and operational efficiency across all departments, offices, and geographies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the founder-CEO to transform the company into a structured business setup for long-term success, leveraging expertise in operations management, process improvement, and change management.
  • Operational Oversight: Lead and oversee daily operations across all locations, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute plans to enhance the flow between operations, finance, sales, and marketing, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Culture Development: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, training, and coaching employees to enhance their skills and performance, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Team Motivation: Inspire and motivate teams to accomplish company goals and vision, leveraging expertise in leadership development and team management.
  • Employee Engagement: Understand and address the needs and motivations of employees to build a positive and productive work environment, promoting employee satisfaction and retention.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 15+ years of international experience in senior operations roles, with prior experience as a COO managing a minimum of $50M Sales Volume Annually.
  • Logistics: Experience in the movement, storage, and flow of goods, skilled in warehousing, order fulfillment, supply chain management, and planning and executing logistics strategies.
  • Purchasing and Procurement: Experience creating a process and procedure to develop a well-oiled purchasing department.
  • Strategic Planning: Proven experience in creating vision, direction, and strategic planning.
  • Operational Experience: Operational experience with a seasonal business, live goods, or perishable.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and address the needs and motivate employees.
  • Supply Chain Risk Management: Develop and implement supply chain risk management strategies and processes to mitigate potential disruptions.
  • Procurement and Logistics: Have procurement and logistics experience.
