Role Summary: As a Lead Counselor, you will take on a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring fellow counselors. Qualifications:

  • Licensure as a CADC, LCADC, LSW, LCSW, LAC, or LPC.
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Certified Clinical Supervisor.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in substance abuse treatment, including two years in methadone maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act in the absence of the Clinical Supervisor/Director.
  • Delegate cases to counselors.
  • Conduct weekly individual meetings with counselors to review case statuses and quarterly supervision sessions.
  • Facilitate weekly staff meetings.
  • Review counselor case files to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in annual performance evaluations of counseling staff.
  • Participate in Treatment Team Meetings and Grievance Hearings as necessary.
  • Perform intakes for new clients.
  • Provide counseling hours as required for each client on your caseload.
  • Develop treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate and updated case files for each client.
  • Engage in case planning with facility directors and physicians as needed.
  • Clarify policies and procedures to ensure effective supervision.
  • Support the Facility Director with inspections and meetings.
  • Utilize necessary software for daily operations.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions.
  • Assist in ongoing training requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.
