Key Responsibilities
  • Supervises and guides the Room Attendants, Laundry Attendants, Housepersons, and Lobby Attendants to ensure that daily tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Addresses guest inquiries and concerns promptly, collaborating with other departments to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Maintains the overall cleanliness of the establishment by ensuring a well-organized housekeeping operation.
  • Works alongside the Director of Housekeeping to create staff schedules based on projected occupancy levels.
  • Ensures familiarity with cleaning equipment and manages requisition orders as needed.
  • Conducts regular inspections of public areas to ensure cleanliness and operational efficiency.
  • Guarantees that public spaces meet and exceed guest expectations regarding appearance.
  • Facilitates training sessions for staff to enhance their skills and service delivery.
  • Monitors team performance and provides constructive feedback to associates as necessary.
  • Conducts daily inspections of guest rooms to ensure they meet established standards.
  • Generates maintenance requests as required and manages inventory checks.
  • Ensures cleanliness and adequate supplies in linen closets and carts.
  • Trains staff on effective cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
  • Utilizes leadership skills to motivate and enhance productivity among team members.
  • Communicates performance standards clearly and monitors compliance.
  • Maintains appropriate inventory levels for linens, chemicals, and amenities.
  • Coordinates with other departments, such as Front Office and Engineering, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Regularly updates the Director of Housekeeping on any significant issues or concerns.
Qualifications
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in English, both verbal and written; Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to hear and see to respond to emergency situations.
  • Physical capability to climb stairs, bend, reach, kneel, and grip items.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to respond to visual and auditory signals.
  • Capacity to push or pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
  • Capability to perform tasks in confined spaces and under varying temperature conditions.
