Position Overview
The EHS Field Manager will play a pivotal role in steering the communication of business objectives, programs, and processes across the East region.

Key Responsibilities
This role entails the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of all facets of the company's Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program, ensuring compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will possess the expertise necessary to address challenges, formulate, and execute objectives for themselves and their team, while contributing to both short-term and long-term business goals.

  • Lead and mentor a team of three EHS professionals, establishing performance goals and promoting professional growth.
  • Collaborate with various departments to synchronize EHS objectives with organizational strategies.
  • Utilize persuasive skills to cultivate a robust EHS culture valued by leadership across commercial, engineering, manufacturing, and field services.
  • Identify and drive process improvements for the distributed workforce team.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, alongside industry standards and best practices.
  • Recognize emerging EHS issues and trends, developing effective strategies to tackle them.
  • Design and deliver EHS training programs to enhance employee awareness and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Oversee procedures for reporting and investigating EHS incidents, including near-misses and environmental spills.
  • Conduct thorough incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective measures.
  • Perform regular audits and inspections of facilities and equipment to evaluate compliance with EHS regulations.
  • Act as the primary contact for EHS-related inquiries within the NAM East Field.
  • Support customer EHS inquiries related to field activities.
  • Engage in special projects, including risk reduction initiatives and internal program audits.
  • Encourage a culture of inclusion and diversity within the business team.

Qualifications
The ideal EHS Field Manager will possess:

  • A strong background in health and safety.
  • Exceptional coaching and communication skills regarding EHS requirements.
  • The ability to collaborate and influence across functional teams.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple priorities with professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities to convey complex information effectively.
  • A willingness to travel as necessary to support team members at various worksites.
  • Experience with root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Demonstrated skills in EHS risk recognition and auditing.

Core Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in EHS, engineering, science, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven EHS leadership experience with a focus on health and safety.
  • Routine travel may be required.
