Job Summary

The Warehouse Operations Manager oversees the dock team while supporting the store management team. This is a leadership role of the dock staff, however, this role is not limited to the dock. Warehouse Operations Managers will be required to price products and assist in other tasks as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Demonstrate leadership by being consistent in individual production role
    • Complete plans by assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving problems, and approaches tasks with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Warehouse Operations
    • Maintain the flow and organization of the warehouse by ensuring employees stay productive, efficient, and reporting supply and maintenance needs to the Store Manager
    • Assist the Store Manager by ensuring quality control, training employees, providing supplies for employees while maintaining supply inventory, working with volunteers and community service groups
  • Communication and Accountability
    • Maintain open communication with Store Manager regarding staffing or production issues
    • Hold team accountable on your day off - establishes expectations and then checks on it
  • Donation Management
    • Drive donation requests for your store and ensuring that manager receives financial donations taken by dock team on a daily basis
  • General Responsibilities
    • Follow opening and closing procedures of the dock and ensure the dock is open at 9:00am and closed by 4pm
    • Greet and assist all customers - donor first mentality
    • Maintain a safe work environment
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Uphold the mission of Liberty Ministries
    • Have leadership abilities with attention to detail and organization
    • Have good communication skills
    • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, pull, etc. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
    • Conducts themselves in a professional manner at all times
    • Be of good physical and mental health with emotional maturity and a sense of humor
    • Have sound judgment necessary to achieve goals without day-to-day supervision
    • Show initiative through determining what works and making changes where needed
    • Needs to be an efficient multi-tasker
    • High ethical ability for following the policies and procedures of Liberty Ministries Thrift
    • Flexibility
