Onsite Packaging Operations Supervisor

Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled Packaging Operations Supervisor to lead and manage our packaging inventory processes effectively.

The Supervisor will be tasked with guaranteeing the quality and availability of packaging supplies, fine-tuning inventory levels, and executing streamlined inventory management strategies to align with our production and distribution objectives. This role necessitates collaboration across various departments to oversee the comprehensive lifecycle of packaging development, which includes innovation, redesign, line extensions, and ongoing maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance: Supervise quality control measures and document any defects, process inconsistencies, and other concerns.
  • Team Leadership: Delegate tasks to packaging team members, assist in the recruitment and training of new personnel, and facilitate staff training and skill enhancement.
  • Equipment Oversight: Manage the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment, along with scheduling regular maintenance.
  • Inventory Oversight: Ensure the availability of necessary packaging materials and products, while contributing to budget planning and performance evaluations.
  • Operational Efficiency: Propose enhancements to packaging operations and uphold an efficient workflow.
  • Client Relations: Cultivate and manage client relationships, providing precise and timely packaging information.
  • Continuous Improvement: Plan, coordinate, and implement projects aimed at continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, coupled with a minimum of 4 years of experience, or 8 years of experience in packaging or inventory management.

Comprehensive understanding of inventory management principles and practices, including demand forecasting, replenishment, and stock control.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven, disciplined, adaptable to change, capable of prioritizing and completing tasks with urgency, while maintaining a strong sense of business integrity in a dynamic environment.

Availability to work onsite Monday through Friday is required. (Remote or hybrid options are not available)

Travel Requirements: Up to 15%.
