Position Overview

The Floorcovering Branch Operations Leader plays a pivotal role in collaborating with wholesale clients to assess their flooring requirements, addressing inquiries regarding Sherwin-Williams offerings, and proposing suitable solutions. This position is essential in ensuring that customer issues are resolved swiftly, promoting optimal client satisfaction, and keeping abreast of product features while upholding the high quality and aesthetic standards of the products and branch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to foster high levels of satisfaction
  • Engage with customers both in-person and via phone to identify needs and recommend appropriate flooring solutions
  • Establish and nurture trust-based relationships with wholesale clients
  • Channel potential wholesale leads to sales representatives and store personnel
  • Manage order processing and coordinate installation schedules with both installers and clients
  • Verify the accuracy of installers' orders prior to dispatch
  • Conduct sales transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Maintain organized work order documentation
  • Retrieve necessary products from the sales floor or warehouse
  • Ensure cleanliness of store equipment
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles
  • Support delivery operations as required
  • Keep assigned areas well-stocked and visually appealing
  • Stay informed about product offerings and discuss available options with clients
  • Adhere to inventory management protocols
  • Propose strategies to enhance sales performance
Qualifications

Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum age of eighteen (18) years
  • Legal authorization to work in the country of employment without the need for sponsorship
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service role
  • Prior experience in selling flooring and/or related products
  • Experience operating flooring cutting machinery
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possession of a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in multiple languages
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish
