First Line Leader

Our Operations team plays a critical role in delivering the innovative and life-saving products we create for our clients. We rely on our team members to actively engage in the continuous enhancement of our operations while we provide the growth and development necessary for them to advance their skills and careers. We are seeking a First Line Leader to oversee our operations.

The First Line Leader position is a leadership role focused on cultivating fully engaged and competent teams that achieve results aligned with performance objectives in a safe and efficient manner.

This role involves a 12-hour rotating shift, with day and night shifts alternating every two weeks.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Embodying and exemplifying DuPont Core Values.
  • Planning shift activities and resources to optimize performance in line with production objectives; Communicating shift performance metrics and outcomes to team members; Fostering an understanding of the team's contribution to overall goals.
  • Driving Operational Excellence by engaging team members to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, eliminate waste, remove obstacles, and instill a sense of ownership and pride.
  • Coaching and holding team members accountable for safety, behavior, performance, and quality.
  • Providing guidance, development, and performance feedback to team members to enhance capabilities and improve team effectiveness.
  • Recruiting, retaining, and developing talent to meet current and future needs; Promoting a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
  • Collaborating with leaders to stay informed of business strategies and requirements.
  • Effectively communicating and implementing site directives to ensure clarity in work alignment.
  • Completing administrative tasks promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensuring work is executed according to established schedules.
  • Facilitating team processes, including problem-solving and issue resolution.
  • Leading or participating in EHS & Quality investigations and determining appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ensuring compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitoring and adjusting controllable costs for the shift (e.g., overtime, operating supplies).
  • Executing Leader Standard Work practices, including frequent line inspections.
  • Initiating recognition for individuals and/or teams, celebrating accomplishments.
  • Organizing and managing staffing levels to ensure adequate support for production needs.
  • Addressing personnel issues effectively during shifts.
  • Willingness to provide coverage on weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays as scheduled; Availability for overtime as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, military, or similar environment.
  • People leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with Process Safety Management (High Hazard Process) preferred.
  • Proficient with current computer applications and skills.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred.
