The Senior Operations Leader is responsible for steering the operational functions of the organization, focusing on risk management, process enhancements, legal adherence, and comprehensive staff development. This role requires evaluating the performance of the team and making pivotal business decisions while fostering collaboration across various departments. The leader will also play a crucial role in minimizing losses through operational excellence and nurturing strong business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guide and mentor team leaders to effectively achieve departmental objectives.
  2. Foster the growth of team members through consistent communication and constructive feedback.
  3. Regularly assess and update departmental policies and procedures as necessary.
  4. Ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance with organizational policies.
  5. Identify staffing requirements and address escalated team member concerns.
  6. Achieve established performance metrics, including quality and risk indicators, and implement action plans for improvement.
  7. Collaborate with Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, and other relevant departments to resolve disputes and mitigate risk.
  8. Manage departmental expenses in alignment with budgetary plans.
  9. Act as the primary operations liaison for audits, reviews, and compliance evaluations.
  10. Stay informed about evolving laws and regulations affecting operations, ensuring necessary updates and training are conducted.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in financial services, mortgage, banking, client services, or default operations.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience with expertise in the relevant domain.
  • Strong skills in process management and improvement.
  • Proven ability to effectively train and manage personnel across multiple locations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with senior management.
  • Outstanding analytical capabilities.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in a business-related field.
  • 10 years of leadership experience.
  • Comprehensive operational knowledge of the assigned area.
