Position Overview

The Clinical Operations Leader will oversee the operational management of our new clinical site, focusing on financial performance and strategic growth. This role is essential in launching a start-up site that aligns with Flourish Research's commitment to delivering top-tier clinical trials to our clients through a collaborative and financially sound approach. You will work closely with the regional leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

Financial & Operational Management

  • Champion the Flourish approach by implementing and supervising clinical and operational initiatives.
  • Oversee site-level operational and financial metrics, ensuring adherence to budgetary targets and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the site’s operations and Flourish Research’s market positioning.
  • Analyze operational volume and staffing models to optimize workforce requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of clinical and administrative personnel to achieve operational goals.
  • Manage the site’s P&L, focusing on margin and performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity and profitability.
  • Utilize financial tools to manage operational budgets effectively.
  • Understand clinical trial agreements to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor and drive key performance indicators.

Team Development

  • Recruit, train, and retain clinical and administrative staff to ensure optimal team performance.
  • Implement best practices for performance assessment and recognition.
  • Identify training needs and facilitate development opportunities for site management.
  • Act as a champion for cultural engagement and drive People and Culture initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the training team to create educational programs for staff.
  • Direct recruitment strategies to meet short- and long-term staffing needs.
  • Engage with other site leaders to share best practices and solve challenges collaboratively.

Site Oversight

  • Work with Quality and Risk teams to enforce compliance with regulations and protocols.
  • Participate in pre-study qualification and monitoring visits.
  • Ensure participant safety through staff training and adherence to guidelines.
  • Maintain communication with principal investigators to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure data integrity.
  • Hold shared services accountable for meeting service level targets.
  • Develop effective patient recruitment strategies to ensure successful trial enrollment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as science, nursing, or healthcare management.
  • A minimum of 5 years in an operational leadership role, with experience in clinical research or trials.
