Job Summary

As a Senior Manager of Business Development, you will be responsible for maintaining the account in accordance with the approved budget while meeting client expectations. You will be expected to maintain excellent relationships with employees, guests and the client, as well as other departments within the operation. You will be responsible for promoting the professional growth and development of the entire team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Planning: Participate in employee meetings, reviews and training programs to ensure alignment with company goals.
  2. Operational Management: Manage in compliance with Company established policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  3. Financial Management: Maintain food cost while ensuring quality standards, and manage financial acumen for all areas including financial reporting with sales reports P&L reports, writing and adhering to annual budgets and cash handling.
  4. Team Development: Establish and maintain good rapport with staff, client and guest and other departments, and promote the professional growth and development of the entire team.
  5. Menu Planning: Plan menus in consultation with chefs, and be knowledgeable on HACCP controls along with proper storage and use of food.
  6. Inventory Management: Manage purchasing and inventory controls, and analyze and create trends for financial data.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  2. Experience: Eight to ten years upscale food service experience, including six years' experience at the management level.
  3. Leadership Skills: Proven track record to achieve company goals in compliance with company/client policies and procedures, and excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  4. Communication Skills: Effective problem solving and conflict management skills, and ability to multi-task as well as stay on task and concentrate with constant interruptions.
  5. Technical Skills: Experience in food purchasing, food costs and inventory control, and ability to create budgets, flash reports, financial targets and forecasts.
  6. Certifications: ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus.
