Position: Assistant Grants Financial Officer

The Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE) is in search of an Assistant Grants Financial Officer to enhance their financial operations team. RLE is a prominent, interdisciplinary research facility with a varied funding portfolio and annual expenditures surpassing $60 million. Key responsibilities encompass collaborating with the financial manager, engaging in resource development for pre-award processes, liaising with principal investigators (PIs), overseeing the financial health of grants and contracts, and ensuring adherence to MIT and sponsor regulations.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • A minimum of three years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Capability to operate both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with research proposal management
  • Understanding of enterprise financial systems
