The Closing team maintains the momentum from a productive day, ensuring a strong finish by attending to guests until closing time.

They prioritize tasks from the guest's perspective, possess a thorough understanding of each leader's business vision, and enjoy teamwork while executing closing routines.

As a Closing Specialist, you will gain skills and experience in:

- Fundamentals of guest service and fostering a guest-first culture throughout the store
- Retail business essentials: sales trends, pricing strategies, inventory management, and process improvement
- Supporting daily and weekly workloads to meet business priorities and achieve sales targets
- Promoting various benefits, offerings, and services

- Problem-solving and decision-making to enhance guest satisfaction and address concerns
- Adapting to diverse guest interactions and situations

Typical responsibilities include:

- Demonstrating a service culture that prioritizes guest experience by adhering to service standards
- Creating a welcoming atmosphere by genuinely greeting all guests
- Observing guest behavior to assess their needs and tailor your approach accordingly
- Engaging with guests authentically, asking questions to better understand their needs
- Being knowledgeable about available tools, products, and services to resolve guest issues and enhance their experience
- Thanking guests sincerely and expressing appreciation for their choice to shop at Target
- Consistently executing closing routines to maintain a clean and organized store
- Supporting business area teams in completing closing tasks based on daily priorities and guest traffic
- Ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked and organized for guests
- Following processes with attention to detail, monitoring progress, and prioritizing tasks accurately
- Operating powered equipment safely and only if certified
- Upholding a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- Working safely at all times, identifying and correcting hazards, and adhering to safety policies.

Additional responsibilities:
- Supporting guest services such as backup cashier, order pickup, and returns while maintaining compliance with applicable laws.
