Position Overview

The Administrative Services Manager oversees the comprehensive administrative, billing, accounting, and payroll operations of the office, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards set forth by Life Care.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least an associate's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Preferred: Two (2) years of experience in office management
  • Preferred: One (1) year of experience in post-acute care or a related geriatric field

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and interpret the programs, objectives, policies, and procedures governing the administrative functions within the post-acute care environment
  • Make autonomous decisions when necessary
  • Possess knowledge of the practices, procedures, and regulations relevant to the administrative functions in a post-acute care setting
  • Implement and interpret departmental programs, objectives, policies, and procedures
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
  • Maintain professional relationships with all staff, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Ensure confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive information
  • Adhere to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
  • Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following Life Care's Code of Conduct and completing required compliance training

Essential Duties

  • Effectively manage bookkeeping tasks, including posting payments and charges to patient accounts, balancing daily receipts, and addressing delinquent accounts
  • Maintain and regularly reconcile the facility's checkbook
  • Oversee patient account management
  • Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise business office personnel
  • Manage operations within budgetary constraints
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor towards patients
  • Assist in patient evacuation procedures
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance
  • Utilize reasoning skills and sound judgment
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team
  • Engage in physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving throughout the workday
  • Read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language
